G/L Discrepancy Reporting

Re-engineered a General Ledger Accounting Analysis report to identify major discrepancies in light of new reporting requirements.  Analyzed current reports and excel spreadsheets, implemented several process improvements, validated the reported information and determined gaps.  Presented findings to Executive Managers and created new reports based on new requirements. Set up cross-check functionality for validation and automated data collection.  Result: Executive Managers were enabled to take Managerial action 30% sooner on large dollar discrepancies and items aged over 30 days.
